What a beautiful book. Wohlleben's account of the life of trees is engaging and completely accessible. At the same time, it resonated with me and seemed to make sense intuitively.
How interesting is Tolkien's conception of his Ent trees in The Lord of the Rings. And how genius was his seeming accidental accuracy.
I've always loved trees and their big gentleness. Now, after Wohlleben's book I think I understand why.
